One of my favorite tools that I have been using is my Start Today Journal. I have been completing my gratitude and dream practice since March but I now have it in one book that I was able to purchase when Rachel Hollis’ line arrived at Target.
Each morning with my first cup of coffee, I write down 5 things I am grateful for and 10 dreams that I have for myself. Writing down what I am grateful for allows me to make note right away the little things that made me happy in the last 24 hours and puts me in a good mood. My dreams are written as directed in the form that I have already completed them. They are like I CAN statements for your life. For example, yesterday I shared my goal of becoming a writer and speaker. This is one of the dreams I write down every day – I am a well known blogger and sought out speaker. This, plus nine others are written every morning as a reminder of where I am headed and my WHY of all the things I need to do TODAY to get there.
At the bottom of each page it asks for you to right down your one goal you will begin with. I use this to give myself a baby step to work on that day that will lead me toward one of my 10 dreams.
